Direct ophthalmoscopes are an invaluable set of diagnostic instruments allowing an optometrist or general practitioner to gain a view of the funds of the eye with moderate to high magnification. At the same time this can be performed with the patient sitting upright without the need to dilate pupils to perform the examination.

Our range of easy to use direct ophthalmoscopes are designed to give the user seamless control over the lens wheel for perfect focus of the instrument.

Whilst the ergonomic design allows for the user to toggle between the positive diopter values (marked in black) to correct the focal length for short-sightedness and negative diopter values (marked in red) to correct the focal length for longsighted eyes. The light intensity is easily adjustable via the rheostat.
